The Chamber's mission is to help promote the city's economy and business climate so that businesses in Basehor can thrive and expand.

Our Membership: Our membership reflects the diversity of our businesses as a whole from the size to the sector of business. We represent the interests of small, medium and large businesses, for profit and non-profit businesses and sole proprietors. All share a common vision to continue to find ways to help Basehor's business community sustain, grow and expand.

Small Business: The Chamber is devoted to the special needs and challenges of small businesses in the city and have a number of small business initiatives to work on creating opportunities for the small business community.

Board Members, Committees and Officers: The Chamber President and Board of Directors are volunteers, receiving no compensation. Meetings and Mixers: The Board of Directors meets once a month usually the first Wednesday of the month. If you would be interested in attending please contact us. Membership meetings present informative subjects and give members an opportunity to interact with other businesspersons in our community. They are usually held once a month over the lunch time. The Chamber also has After-hours Mixers sponsored by member businesses. These mixers are great for networking with the other member businesses. Our History: The Basehor Cham

ber of Commerce was organized in 1984 and became official with the filing of By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation on January 23, 1985.

The Chamber was organized not for profit with the following objectives and purporses:

  • To identify economic, commercial, industrial, civic, educational, agricultural and governmental needs and problems of the community.
  • To initiate, implement and monitor solutions to the needs and problems identified.
  • To stimulate and mobilize community interest.
  • To affiliate, organize or join with other organizations in achieving these goals.
  • To engage generally in all kinds of work of an educational, benevolent, charitable or civic nature and give material aid to activities or organizations that benefit the community.

Basehor has more than doubled in population and economic growth is prospering since formation of the Basehor Chamber of Commerce.  The Chamber started small but with the assistance of local businesses it has made a difference.

The Chamber of Commerce works on behalf of its members and the entire business community to improve the city's economic climate and help businesses thrive.
