Restored Aircraft Sales & Service, LLC is an Aviation Repair Station in Basehor, Kansas that was literally started in a barn with 6 vintage aircraft. This quickly grew into a booming business. We’ve all heard the phrase, “they don’t make them like they used to”. Restored Aircraft now services a broad range of customers including corporate and commercial aircraft. Here at Restored Aircraft, we take that to heart. By implementing yesterday’s craftmanship with incorporating today’s technology, we are able to provide products and services that will last for generations to come. Our goal is to “Keep your feet off the ground”.

We are proud to be a part of the Basehor-Linwood High School mentorship program. This program provides high school seniors with internships geared to their interest of study. Our engineering interns are exposed to Computer Aided Design, 3D printing, and CNC machining & milling. Our technician internships provide hands on instruction and real life experience for what it is like to be an Airframe and Powerplant (A & P) mechanic.

Ownership background

John Roper – President
John has 35 years of aviation experience ranging from Aircraft Maintenance to Aircraft Design to Aircraft Operations. John is a certified mechanic and holds an FAA inspection authorization. John has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in Aerospace Engineering and a Masters degree in Aviation Administration. John has accrued over 4,000 flight hours, holds an air transport pilot rating and is a certified flight instructor with multi-engine and instrument ratings.

Marianne Roper – Chief Financial Officer
Marianne has over 50 years’ experience in office management, project management, business analysis and finance. Marianne received her private pilots license in 1963 and continues to love to fly. Her late husband, was a pilot for Frontier Airlines.
